Bonaire - A Diver's Paradise

Less than 18 months into our Start-Up, PATRIOT SCUBA, things are looking real good.  We have had a blast getting to where we are and we met some great customers...and hopefully, followers.  With our military background, customers quickly become "family."

So...with that in mind, we have a big "Family" event in October.  Miko is leading a trip to Bonaire and we have a Wild Crew of folks coming with us.  I'm on tap to go on the trip as well and I'm very excited.  i've done a fair amount of Caribbean diving, but never to Bonaire...a Diver's Paradise.  I'll do my best to give you the blow by blow while I'm down there.

Dive Fest at Lake Rawlings

PATRIOT SCUBA had a great weekend down at Lake Rawlings supporting "Dive Fest"

Dive Fest was a fund raiser for DAN (Diver's Alert Network).  Providing volunteer personnel to help Run and Manage the treasure hunts etc.  Loads of fun and DAN was there tool.  In fact the Man... Dan Orr was there! 

DAN has to be one of the greatest Orgs around...doing so much for so little.  If you have the opprotunity to support DAN - DO IT! Cause when you need them, you can count on them being there for you.

Why Dive "New" Wrecks?

Capping a 14 year journey including several delays, a successful arrival , the USS Vandenberg now rests proudly in 150ft of deep blue water 6 miles off Key West Florida!

PATRIOT Scuba has planned a trip to the Florida Keys 15 thru 19 January 2010 to dive various locations and wrecks. USS VANDENBERG is the Newest Wreck we plan to dive on that trip.

Why dive "New" Wrecks - 1. They are new (duh?) 2. Creatures (namely Octopus) rush to occupy them 3. They are most intact!

The End of Diving Season...NOT!

Hey all,

What's this I hear that Diving Season is coming to an end as winter approaches??? What, are you kidding me?

Plenty of Wetsuit diving left until the beginning of Dry Suit Season. So there is no reason to mourn the end of the season as it is just a "change of clothes"...3mm to 7mm or wet to dry!

What is a PATRIOT DIVER?

What makes a PATRIOT Diver? I'd like to think that all divers are, or can be a PATRIOT Divers. But we hope that every Diver we meet will be a PATRIOT Diver by the time we part ways.

My Definition: A PATRIOT Diver is someone who loves diving and the aquatic world, is friendly, helpful and a good buddy. A PATRIOT Diver is a safe diver, always looking to improve, learn and experience new things.
